How Do I Winterize My Plumbing in Maryland?
Maryland winters can freeze exposed pipes — especially in crawl spaces, garages, and exterior walls. To winterize: disconnect and drain outdoor hoses, shut off and drain irrigation systems, insulate exposed pipes in unheated spaces, know where your main shutoff is, and keep the heat above 55°F even when away. If you\'re leaving a vacation home vacant, drain the entire system or have a plumber winterize it properly. A single burst pipe can cause contact us for a free estimate in water damage.
